The conception of the minotaur occurred when Queen Pasiphae commissioned archetypal Artist and Craftsman Daedalus to build her a cowsuit in which she could copulate with a white bull whom her husband, King Minos of Crete, had refused to sacrifice to the Gods in thanks for giving him an island to rule over. Queen Pasiphae's lust came in the form of a spell cast upon her by Hera, Queen of the Gods, to punish Minos for his lack of humility. This sculpture attempts to recreate the fuck-bull Daedalus built for the queen.
